I’ve used the Corentium radon monitor for years and have been very happy with it. Simple, accurate (I calibrated it against a professional unit). I believe Airthings now owns Corentium. As a complement to the standalone, single-function Corentium monitor, I decided to try this Airthings View radon monitor for the added functionality of being integrated with an app, which allows remote monitoring and alarms. The View monitor also tracks temperature and humidity, which is valuable when we’re away from home and need to make sure the heating/cooling system is working. The View monitor looks great and is super simple to set up. The app is simple enough to use and stores plenty of history if you’re trying to monitor variations in radon levels. The monitor plugs into a standard USB charger, but it also has backup batteries so it continues to operate through power outages or if you just want to move the monitor. Great device for anyone who needs to monitor temperature and humidity while away from home, and essential gear for anyone living in radon-prone areas (especially so if you have a radon mitigation system, since this monitor will let you know if the system stops functioning correctly). Essential health protection at a very reasonable price from a company I trust. And it looks great.

Product works well, I can read radon levels in Florida condo from my NJ home and adjust mitigation system prior to arriving. Readings are extremely close to private lab and contractors readings.

My Airthings 2989 arrived on time and setup was easy. The initial setup is via Bluetooth. Connecting it to the wifi router was seamless. My IOS phone is now currently updated with radon levels along with humidity and temperature readings. A handy chart shows trends across various time frames. On demand readings can be taken remotely.

We bought this to just in case check the radom level in our house and we were shocked to find out that the level was at 240. Immediately hired a person to fix the situation, would never know. The professional stated that this product is really good.

I work in my basement. Have a radon fan going but I wanted to be 100% sure radon wasn’t down there. So I bought this thing. After a couple weeks it’s showing anywhere between 0.2 and 0.6 radon levels. And I can check on my phone which is nice. So my mitigation fan is working and maybe I won’t die from lung cancer later in life.

Air things makes a professional line of products, and this home based model is of the same caliber quality. It is not as fast as a pro model, but over time, it is exceptionally accurate and it will tell you whether the radon levels are high or low. I monitored for 2 months and then got radon mitigation. And my levels dropped to 0.3 within twenty four hours. Since I paid so much money for it, I’m just going to leave it in the basement forever. And let it continuously monitor the levels. I may even let my neighbors borrow it.

Installation is as simple as pulling out the plastic battery “key” and sticking it to a wall with the provided adhesive command strips. The smartphone app is trivial to install and pair with the device. This purchase was part of my whole Radon investigation. I also bought a mail-in Radon test kit. The kit’s results were in line with this meter’s readings.

Nice product. Works well. I needed something that was able to track the radon level throughout the day to make sure that the level was below dangerous levels. The unit does a great job. Highly recommend to all with basements and randon issues in the soil.

I was hesitant to buy this after reading other reviews. However, it works well for me. I was able to quickly connect it to the iPhone app and started getting radon, humidity and temperature readings after 3 days. This is standard. My radon level is in the 1.5 to 2.5 range on my first floor and about 5 in the basement, right above the open sump pump. I move it around the house every week and get different readings. I like the long and short term results displayed on the app. After moving it to the basement, I can see that the radon level trends upwards after only a few hours. So far, it’s given me some peace of mind, knowing that radon in the living spaces is low. I’ll probably still install a mitigation system. Good product for continuous testing. I would recommend this over periodic mail in tests, which are only a snapshot in time. My radon readings vary every day and move up and down by 1 or more every 24 hours.

Monitor starts working as soon as you plug it in, but takes a few days for calibration. App setup and connection to Wi-Fi was easy. Mine jumped around a lot during those first few days, but then settled and gave what seemed to be accurate readings compared to the charcoal test and fell as I expected as I capped my sump basin, more as I completed the vent tube, again more as I added the fan. Mine was a DIY radon mitigation install over several weekends. The monitor verified my progress. I appreciate being able to see the trends on the app. I have another air monitor in the kitchen, so did not need CO2, VOCs etc. on this one. Temp and humidity readings from the basement are useful.
