We bought “The Smart Tabletop Space Heater” about a week ago for my sister’s room, who had a major stroke several years ago, and needs 24/7 care and supervision.THE HEATER:The heater is very responsive to the temperature setting, and works great. The display and controls are easy to understand.THE APP:I LOVE all the app features! It’s very easy to control the heater from the app. I’ve set the app to notify me if gets above a certain temperature in the room, and to reduce the thermostat setting. That gives me tremendous peace of mind, as my sister repeatedly tells me it cannot get too warm in her room. I’m including screenshots of the app with this review. The “Smart Automation” settings I created:If MV Bdrm (heater name) is switched OFF, the app will send a notification to my cellphone. If MV Bdrm is switched ON, the app will send me a notification. If MV Bdrm temperature setting is set below 70, the app will send me a notification. If MV Bdrm temperature setting is set above 74, the app will send me a notification. If the current temperature in the bedroom is above 74, the app will send me a notification. If the current temperature in the bedroom is above 74, the app will set the heater temperature setting to 71, and send me a notification.Because this product and app is new to me, I’m sure I’ll learn more about it as time goes on. I’ll update my review if I find other wonderful features (or not so wonderful issues), if I find them.CUSTOMER SERVICE:OMgosh, this is a company that rates very high in customer service. I contacted them through the app with a question. They responded immediately, answered my question, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy with their product, and with them. Customer service like this has become more rare in the last decade or so, and is a treasure. I will definitely look into other Atomi smart products to add to our household.

I’ve seen a few other parents commenting on the fact that this is a lifesaver to avoid sneaking into a sleeping kid’s room to turn on the heater. It’s true. This heater is perfect and that is exactly why I purchased this one.I first purchased the model that had the beep, and yep, it’s too loud and wouldn’t work for a nursery heater. But the customer support from Atomi was SO helpful and informed me of their other model that doesn’t beep. They replaced it with the non-beep version and now it’s exactly what I needed. The app is good looking and works well. It integrated easily with Google (not as much control there but still handy). I like the automation features in the Atomi Smart app that allow me to set the heater to automatically turn on and off when it reaches specific temperatures so I don’t have to monitor it. I’m also able to turn off the screen so it’s not too bright in my son’s room.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this beautiful little space heater a year ago in December 2020 out of pure desperation. I have narcolepsy (a sleep disorder which makes it extremely difficult to wake up or stay awake), which for me is exacerbated greatly by cold. If it’s under 70 degrees in my bedroom, I literally can’t wake up, not even enough to reach over and turn on a space heater. It sucks. My roommates wouldn’t let me turn the heat up in the house and I was terrified of losing my job as I was constantly coming in late or completely sleeping through my shifts (and all of the calls from my fortunately very kind manager…)So I scoured the internet for smart space heaters and found that Atomi… was my only option. Honestly, at around $90, it cost a lot more than I wanted to pay for a space heater, but I was desperate. When I found a “Like New” one from Amazon Warehouse at a slight discount and 2-day prime shipping, I was sold.At that time, Atomi sold a much larger tall column-like space heater, and this one, their “tabletop” version. Even though the taller version probably would have better heated my room, I didn’t have the space (pun intended) for it in my bedroom and greatly preferred the cute futuristic look of this one. I have never regretted my choice. This thing is near perfect. It is sleek and extremely well made and I love that it’s tiny and light enough to fit about anywhere. It looks great. It doesn’t really look like it’s a space heater at all. It is extremely easy to set up with the Atomi app and fits seamlessly into my Google-based smart home. You can adjust all of the settings either on the heater itself, or in the Atomi app on your phone. In the Atomi you can also easily create schedules and start sleep timers from 1-4 hours long. Google home/assistant will only turn the space heater on/off and set the temperature in eco mode, but that’s all I’ve ever needed it to do. Including this space heater in my Google routines has changed my life, and being able to control it with my voice is just amazingly satisfying. There is one problem to point out though- to press the buttons on the heater, you have to put your hand in front of the heat and then on the hot panel. Even though I tried extremely hard not to, you can hear me say, “Ow!” at the end of my video when I pressed the button. I seriously tried very hard not to. The face of the device is tilted slightly upwards, so it is really hard to avoid the hot air with your hand. “But this is a SMART heater, why should I care about the buttons?” is what I thought to myself when I read about this in another person’s review before buying it. I’ve so far found 2 reasons to care about the buttons- 1. Sometimes the internet/wifi goes down. 2. Sometimes I take it with me to places where I am unable to connect it and my phone to the same wifi network. When I caught COVID and unexpectedly had to quarantine at a coworker’s freezing apt for 2 weeks, this wonderful little heater was a lifesaver and heated almost her entire apt itself, but I found myself irritated at having to manually push the buttons, hurting my hand a little bit every time, and realized spoiled it’s smart features have made me.It’s safety features are also perfect. Out of the many space heaters I’ve used, this is the only one I’ve ever felt completely safe with. I love never having to worry about it starting a fire, throwing a breaker, or causing issues whenever one of my cats knocks it over. It automatically shuts off when it’s knocked over and even notifies you in the app when this happens or when it shuts off unexpectedly, like the power goes out. I also appreciate that its automatic shut off isn’t triggered by just moving it around, like some of my previous, much-inferior space heaters. The heat output is really good, especially for it’s size, but it’s not miraculous. The heater doesn’t put a lot of force into the air that comes out of it, so it gradually and very subtly heats a room/space. It probably is ideal for like a desk or an office- if you’re close to it you will definitely immediately feel it- but it does work fine in a bedroom or even in a small apartment. Using it in my bedroom (depending on where I place it) I usually don’t really feel a big difference in temperature over the first several minutes I have it on, but then between 10-15 minutes later it’ll hit me that the room isn’t cold anymore, and sometimes that it is actually too hot! It really can heat up a space, it just does it gradually and subtly.Placement is an important factor. My instinct seems to be to put it on a dresser or table, but as I’ve previously mentioned, the face of the space heater does have a slight upward tilt, meaning thatthe heat comes out in an upward angle. When I first started using it, I put it on my dresser, about 3ft high. I thought at first that the heater was a dud, until I realized that the air ABOVE me on my ceiling was very hot! I’ve found it’s best to put it on the floor or on a surface 1-2′ off of the ground. It’s so compact that luckily it’s always easy for me to find a place to put it. Placement is also important when you’re using the ECO function, which is great and all I ever use. The ECO function turns the heat on and off as needed to keep your space at your preset temperature. It works perfectly, better than any other space heater I’ve had, except on the rare occasion that it’s just placed in a bad spot where it’s sitting in its own heat. Setting the heater to turn back and forth is really effective for spreading heat around and can stop this issue, as can moving it.There’s only one issue I actually have with this heater, and when I read about it in in many other reviews before purchasing, I really didn’t think it would bother me. But it does. The BEEP. I don’t think my video properly conveys how loud it is. I just don’t know why it needs to beep in the first place, and then they chose to give it the most ostentatious of beeps! Anytime you change the temp, turn it on or off, change a setting, or wifi comes off/on, it BEEP!s, regardless of whether you do so using its buttons, the Atomi app, Google Assistant, or the Google Home app. I generally try not to change any settings just to avoid the extremely loud “BEEP!”The BEEP! is the only thing I would change about this device. Apart from that, it’s 10/10, a life saver, 100% what I needed, extremely adorable, and so well-built I really think it will be a few decades before I have to go buy a new space heater again.

The media could not be loaded. This smart heater works very well for my purposes. I am using it in a 150sqft. bedroom while working from home.Pros- Google Home integration works great (can change temperature, turn on and off)- App works great- Screen can turn off for nighttime operation- Can create custom schedules, like having it turn on at 6:30am on weekdays- Unit has a 3 year warrantyCons- Build quality could be better. Plastic feels cheap, unit is almost too lightweight.- Loud beeps every time you change a setting, as the other reviews say (this is not a dealbreaker for me)- Missing some of the safety features of competitors, like motion sensingOverall, the smart features and form factor make this a great purchase. The heater itself doesn’t feel as nice as, say, a comparable Honeywell heater, but the performance is good enough, and the smart features and decent thermostat make up for the difference.

I was looking for something not too big, quiet, and app controlled. This device has it all. Best setting? Set your temp and the internal temp gauge will sense when the optimal temp is reached and shut off. Once it dips, it turns on automatically to restore the balance. This eco mode saves a lot of energy.

At first, as others have said, I could not get it to connect to my wifi. I do not have 5G, either. Finally I looked at their website and saw a suggestion to move it away from the router and try again. I tried it, and it finally worked! This has been a lifesaver for me, almost literally. I live in an older house, with a laundry ‘room’ attached to the carport, but no wall shared with the house. It’s just a room about 15 feet wide, and not much deeper than a washing machine (I have to squeeze between the front of the washer and the other wall). There is no air vent out there, and so I have to put a space heater out there for winter days when it’s below freezing. The pipes in the walls are usually okay, but the water in the washer lines would freeze without a space heater. And, I’m not a kid anymore, and the carport gets icy. So.. I put this out there this year and I LOVE it. I can just set it on my phone, turning the heater on/off as needed. Another tip I’m sharing not related to this review in case it helps anyone else, is I put an outdoor security camera in that room, pointing at a wall thermostat. This way, I can look at the security camera app, see the temp in the room, then turn the space heater on or off depending on the room temp. I love technology! I plan to get a couple more of these space heaters so I can warm up the bathroom or kitchen on chilly mornings, from the phone while I’m still in bed! Now that I finally read their site and got it connected, this is amazing.

I use two of these for my man cave. It’s a pretty big cave 24X28 w/10ft ceiling (converted 2.5 car garage). It is fairly well insulted and does have it’s own HVAC with propane furnace. I only use the room a couple nights a week, but found the propane to be expensive even when it turned the heat down to 52 when the room wasn’t in use.I generally leave two of these in the room set to 60 (the minimum setting), with the propane set to 52 as a backup over the entire winter season. I’m in Delaware, so it’s not super cold, but there are times where it is below 20F for several consecutive days, and the little heaters keep up, and the propane isn’t needed to maintain the room. When I want to use the room I crank up the setting from my phone an hour before and it heats up well enough for me.When I’m in there, I’ll set the propane to come on and give these a break. Over 4 months of use, I only use half tank of propane for the whole season(about $200/tank) compared to using about a tank per month. It raises my electric bill by about $50/month, but it’s way cheaper, and I don’t have to worry about running out of propane, and can control it from my phone.

I absolutely love this product! It’s super smart! My home doesn’t warm up well downstairs. And I get annoyed to get up at 5 or 6 a.m. to go downstairs to turn on a heater, so it will be warm downstairs by the time I get up. Now, it’s so convenient to schedule it via my phone! Or I can be away from home, and turn it on before I get home to make sure it’s warm by the time I get in. I absolutely love this product.During the Texas Snow-mageddon of 2021, I unfortunately was one of the millions that went with out electricity for the week. Well, I had to eventually get a hotel room. But, I wanted to go by my home from time to time to check on things, or take care of things there. Well, I could look at the app on my phone to see if the electricity was on by the status of this smart heater. The electricity would come on for about 30 minutes or so a couple of times during the day. If the heater was offline, then I knew the power was off.You won’t be disappointed. And it actually warms up the entire downstairs level of my small condo…approximately 600-700 sq ft. I didn’t see where it used much electricity either. I would sometimes leave it on all day.

I originally got it to keep on my sunporch so I could be out there in the winter. We ended up using it in my studio space to keep the chill down between the heat going on and off (old apartment with little insulation) and the real test has been this week- my heat entirely went. I have two of these running and they keep my space (living room dining room, bedroom, kitchen) around 63-65. When I pull them into individual rooms with the door shut it jumps to 72+ easily. Keep in mind it is 6 degrees in central New York outside right now. So I’m. Rey happy. I also feel safer knowing I can control these when I’m out at work and such, I often schedule hour breaks between them to give them a break so they aren’t running 24/7 at least until my heat is fixed.

This is exactly what we needed. Our house doesn’t regulate temperatures very well and we needed a solution to keep our infants room warm at night without making the rest of the house hot! It’s quiet while blowing air. And there are no beeps or anything when it gets turned on or setting changes are made. You can control the swing/rotation from the app and also if the screen is illuminated. When the screen is off the only light on is a small red light I believe. We usually use eco mode as it regulates temperature in his room. I also love the notifications it sends. If it’s been knocked over and has been returned to an upright position and also when it has been on for about 24 hours. This one is particularly helpful as we usually have the heater light off and sometimes forget it’s on because we weren’t in his room all day. Only drawback is the price but it has been so worth it for us. Very happy with the product and the app is easy to use as well.
