This speaker was the second replacement I purchased, and I am glad I did.In stark contrast to the first one I bought, this unit is solidly built and well constructed. It feels and looks very sturdy and doesn’t give me the impression that it will be easily broken or damaged. The design is better than that of other speakers I’ve owned in the past. It has a good, broad surface area, so the sound isn’t at all tinny, and due to its shape, it does not fall over, even if put onto a softer surface.Getting it paired to my device was fairly easy.I like the layout of the buttons.I really did not expect a speaker this size to sound great. I wasn’t in the market for something that could dominate an outdoor party, so this would have been tolerable. However, I am very pleased with the sound quality. It’s neither too tinny nor too heavy, and I find it works just as well for music as it does for other audio. Mainly, I use it in my room to read audio books, and it does a good job; I’m sure it would be quite a nice choice for those of you who actually are looking for something to use outdoors. To get that good sound from it, you don’t have to blare the volume or turn it too far down, and the sound quality is superior to that of some larger speakers. There are a couple of other nice features I sincerely appreciate. First, I frankly find it obnoxious that when you turn on many speakers, or turn them back off again, for that matter, they play an annoying, little bit of music that is far too loud and impossible to disable. I’d rather have them simply beep, if that much, or do as this one does and give you the percent of battery power left. I like that this takes a USB-C cable–no more irritating, fragile micro USB for me. Its battery life is quite good, which helps me because I sometimes tend to forget to charge my things. Last but not least, this speaker is the only one I’ve had that beeps to acknowledge that it is charging when you plug it in. The sound is unobtrusive and quiet, which I prefer.Overall, you’ll find this to be a very wise buy. You can get cheaper units, certainly, but spend a bit for this, and you won’t regret it.

Tango’s product reviews –
OK so I have been using this product now for approximately 24 hours and I must say that I am highly impressed with the quality of the sound as well as how easy it was to use. I will be providing a this review so that you can make your own decision prior to purchase. So immediately from the start I did notice that the speakers were very heavy indicating high quality product and high quality magnates were used in this speaker. So the speaker itself weighs approximately 2 pounds and seems to be very durable .I did charge the speaker for approximately 2 1/2 hours until it reached full. You can tell the percentage level by pressing the power button onceI then downloaded the bose connect app and installed it as normal. I did notice it came up with two blue tooth connections one I believe is for the app and one is if you don’t use the app and just decide to hook it directly to bluetooith. Once the app was paired I was able to play music through it. While the plain non equalized sound is good I feel it could be better. Which is why I used the equalizer built into my phone to adjust the sound. The Bass in this small speaker is a much better and much more defined than most bluetooith speakers currently on the market. I have had the privilege of using professional grade speakers as well as lower grade speakers and I will tell you that that this does measure up to professional grade sound. Keep in mind, the sound quality is only going to be as good as the music you put through the speaker. I had put high definition audio through this speaker and it was crystal clear. At lower volumes and high volumes. There was almost no distortion detectable however I did notice some at a very high volume when the brunt of the speaker was covered. Please note do not cover the brunt of the speaker as this is I believe classified as an open air speaker which is what defines its bass. So let’s get on to the specifics now. The battery, it’s not bad I had this playing at about 60% volume for approximately 7 1/2 hours straight and for the remainder half hour it was on the maximum volume and when I finally shut it off it still had 30% power remaining. That being said, I believe this should easily get between 10 and 12 HRS to a full charge. It does take approximately 4 hours to charge it from almost nothing . But if you have a three amp charger like I have it does appear to go a little quicker. One thing to keep in mind and it is recommended that you use the charging cord that comes with the unit is that if you use an extended cord it will take longer to charge. This is why bose recommends using their charge cord. I will say that im highly satisfied with this purchase. And feel very comfortable giving this a five star rating despite the 4 hour charge time. The speaker measures approximately 3 1/2 inch by 8 inches with a 1½ inch fabric a loop the depth of this speaker measures at about 2 inches. One thing that I should know right now is that this does not come with a Caribeaner clip. I will recommend that if you like the option of using the clip then you should definitely get a clip with a flat base so that it will fit correctly. So to sum up this review this is a no brainer and bose has continued to make their presence known for quality over quantity. Even in the harsh economic environment of the United States this $139 speaker packs a punch of easily a 200 dollar speaker. If you are looking for a great sounding long lasting bluetooith speaker look no further because this is it.As with all of my reviews I do recommend that you follow them because I will be updating them periodically sell as to keep you properly informed.

So I’ve had three no four Bose Bluetooth speakers, SoundLink mini 2 the OG SoundLink the round single speaker sound link and then this one. The round one had surprising base but it’s a single speaker so it’s not so dynamic and the older ones were older and a little bit smaller and not quite as good but the SoundLink was larger and yet this new one has better bass than the bigger old one. It’s button layout is a little different and it has like a quick Bluetooth connect switch between Bluetooth connected previously devices which also doubles as like a play pause and answer phone and hang up feature depending on what you’re trying to do at that moment but the sound is really good the size is smaller so it’s more transportable battery life seems to be pretty fair and range is perfectly fine but you can also pair multiple bows speakers of varying types together and this one plays well with those I suppose. I haven’t paired this bows with other bows but they say they all work together so have fun with that experiment but this is a good decently Basie not going to vibrate anything but you can definitely here bass notes and I don’t remember missing out on any mids or treble. Maybe a little bit of pinchy ear piercing treble is gone but who really likes that, you get the gist of the symbols but it doesn’t hurt and it’s not super Sharp, you appreciate the base more than the symbols and chimes and triangles anyway… Very impressed with this Bose product like I’ve been impressed with all of them even though they have a software cheat to help get better base by canceling out mids that the human error can’t really hear, but since you can’t hear the meds or won’t be able to detect them and you get more bass out of it who cares, your overall experience is better. 4.5 thumbs up because no replacement for displacement in subwoofer size but this thing does pretty good with the turbo boosted software.😝You do need to download the Bose connect app but it’s really quick and you do not, I repeat do not have to subscribe to anything, you can just Skip and pair and delete.

I just received my Bose Soundlink Flex speaker. It was so easy to connect via Bluetooth to my I-Phone. I tried it out with Spotify and the sound range is perfect with plenty of base. It does not sound in the least bit tinny. I also listened to a chapter from an Audible book and the sound was very clear and enjoyable. I will use this mainly in my kitchen while preparing meals or when doing crafts. It was about 50% charged upon arrival and when charged fully it should be good for 12 hours. The speaker is also waterproof and dustproof and has a sturdy strap so a carabiner can be attached to hang the speaker in different locations. I can’t comment on the life of the charge at this point, but it was very easy to synch with my phone. There is a small guide booklet to make the process very easy.

I had been using a Bose Sound Link which I purchased in 2013. Connectivity was an issue right from the start. It would lose the bluetooth connection frequently, and when the charge was low, even with the unit plugged into AC it would suddenly stop playing. -Fast forward to this new Bose Sound Link Flex. I couldn’t be happier with the way it is performing. It connected in seconds right from the start, and it stays connected. It has a deep, rich, sound, that includes “high highs” and a great resonant bass. I’m a jazz pianist by profession and the music I listen to most often, are the standards from the 1930s-1960s. Speakers in the $100-$200 range are often lacking in the dimension needed to do justice to recordings from the period most important to me. Not so with this speaker. The clarity is great. The speaker is sleek and comes in a variety of colors to suit most any decor. Its waterproof in case you are using it at the pool, the beach, etc. I have it continuously plugged in to AC using the USB C cord. Bose says that is ok. I haven’t had the unit long enough to know how long a charge would last if not plugged into AC. Bose says the average charging time is between 3-4 hours. I plugged it in right when I received it and it did indeed take 3 hours to fully charge.

I’ll be honest, I had hoped this little speaker would be louder BUT I also understand that size/weight matters for a speaker so I’m not surprised at the level of sound. This is not to say that if you turn it up that it’s quiet either. For the size and weight, this puts out plenty of sound to fill a room and the sound quality, most importantly, is there. I’m sure being Bose that their focus was on making it sound as good as possible in a small package and not as loud as possible! And they did that!Connectivity is fast and I haven’t had any issue with it holding the connection. I don’t use the suggested Bose app since many reviews said they had issues with it so I use the sound adjustment that’s on the music app I have on my phone and I’m very happy with the sound- deep bass, clear vocals and never any distortion. The shell is nice- very grippy, feels sturdy and I’m very happy with the color. I would have liked some kind of indicator on battery life instead of just a voice report when you turn it on.Not having a lot of experience with bluetooth speakers I went with reviews online as well as from a personal friends experience and of course, the Bose name and what I’ve heard from their products in the past and in my opinion they delivered with this little speaker so I’m happy with the purchase.

I so loved the crisp sound of the first speaker I ordered that I wanted a second speaker to pair it with. The first speaker I had paired using regular bluetooth and not the app. But the negative reviews about these speakers being a nightmare to connect with each other kept me on the fence and looking into the JBL speakers. But those had negative reviews as well, the one that got me was about how loud the bass is and how often the speakers disconnect just long enough to be hugely annoying. I don’t need the house to shake with bass, so back to the Bose. The second speaker arrived today, empty battery, of course, but it took only about 70 minutes on a faster charger to get it to 100%. This time I downloaded the Bose app and it accepted the first speaker as the primary without any quibbles. It saw the second speaker and asked if I want to connect the two. Yes, of course! Pairing the speakers was probably the easiest pairing I have ever done, and I am still surprised since I expected to have to “stand on my head” and such, as the really funny review of another customer had stated. My only guess is that Bose listened and updated their app so now it actually works. The sound from the two speakers is amazing! I had to fiddle a little to find the sweet spots for placing them, but once I got that right the sound was immersive. Beautiful highs, warm bass without overpowering the highs and mid tones, and when I turned on an Audible book to hear what voices sound like they came through as good as on my excellent car sound system.I am happy that I listened to my gut and stuck with the Bose.My only quibble is that the covering of the speakers seems to be a magnet for cat and dog hair. Easily enough wiped off, but I thought I mention it.

Its a Bose with a take me outside, whenever, wherever no matter the weather! I’ve loved my experiences with my old soundlinkIIs and they have seen a lot of sand, rain and even drinks spilled on em and they kept allowing me to enjoy that great Bose sound. I needed a speaker to take on the water., kayak, beach, hiking, camping, wherever and not have to worry about my Bose like my first born being unattended. This Flex can swim! I don’t leave it in the water but I know it can fall in and not sink to the bottom! That brings the numbers down on the blood pressure for sure. This thing feels solid and can take a beating. I love it! And of course it sounds amazing for a small speaker and in a wide range of locations. You can move it around to get a different sound. I find that upright and in front of an object that isn’t to sound absorbing will reflect the base more forward. And its a Bose! ❤❤❤
