While have I had a lot of printers in my day between working at the office at work or at homeI wanted to get a printer for my new house office. That was a do it your all type printer and you could do all kinds of things with it, but also was cheap for the price.I seen this printer on Black Friday and it was a good price. It allowed us to do photos, print scan items and email things.I was kind of nervous on how the set up would be however, it was so easy to install and set up. It was amazing the best part about it honestly was it came with a black and color printer cartridge. It told me how to set up and place the printer cartridges into the printer, which was so easy compared to my old printer where I had to mess around with it forever and it was a hassle. Every time I had to change the color ink or black ink. This one is so easy you lift up a tab and you place it in close the tab and you’re done changing the color And black ink colorIt wirelessly connected to my laptop, super easy and printed with no issue from anywhere in the house. I was also able to connect my smart phone to the printer so that I could print items from my smart phone directly to the printer as well. Highly recommend this printer.

This Printer is a Gem so far – Don’t usually write reviews but this printer came quick fast and easy from a long distance down south. It worked perfectly right out the box. any by the way, no cover box was used, only the printer box. The printer is so masculinly cute for men use as well as women and compact but prints fast smooth and easy. It connects to your wifi and devices quick and easy. I sure hope this last at least a year minimum and on the best side three or more years – Thanks Canon! if this printer does not hold up I will do a second review to give a better evaluation for the duration long term use which is the real test of any such product. It prints pages much faster than I thought – The long term use of the ink is now the final measure and that will take another week or two- see you then!

Last spring my trusty Canon printer finally died, so I made the mistake of replacing it with another brand printer that was less expensive. Big mistake! That printer was problematic from the get go and finally reached the point where it wasn’t worth the trouble. I have had my TR 7020a for a few days, and, so far, am very happy. It was well packaged with a “Getting Started” brochure which gave setup instructions and also a Canon URL for setup, which was straight forward with no hitches. After setup the Canon URL takes you to instructions to connect to a computer/smartphone. The printer is wireless capable as well as USB, and the USB connectivity was one of the reasons I purchased this printer, having read many reviews on wireless printers indicating a lot of difficulty with the connection to a computer. But for me, it couldn’t have been easier. I run a Windows 8.1 HP desktop with AT&T wireless modem and router. Using the Canon URL to connect, I was up and running in about five minutes and have had no issues since. It couldn’t have been simpler to connect the printer wirelessly. So far it prints and scans flawlessly. I don’t need the fax and can’t comment on it. One really nice feature is the rear paper feeder for photo printing. That way you don’t have to change paper in the main cassette, and the printer automatically detects when the rear feeder is extended. The print quality is excellent, especially the color, which is somewhat surprising since there is only one color tank and one black and white. In my opinion using the Canon photo paper makes a difference. I have had a lot of success with Canon printers; wish I had purchased this one originally.

We replaced an HP printer because it continually disconnected from WiFi, printed one page and then said it was out of paper. It was only about a year old. We previously had an HP printer with fewer issues.Now we purchased this Canon and really are glad. It was very easy to set up using my phone and then I connected our computers. The printer stays connected to WiFi and stays connected. It has apps that make printing documents or photos so easy. It also has two places for paper so I use one for letter size and one for photo paper. Again, makes everything so easy. If I haven’t printed anything for a while I just push the power button to wake it up and it is ready to go. I would recommend this printer for home use.

The box had been opened and resealed prior to receipt. So I don’t know if this was Canon’s issue.The manual included had no manual instructions for starting the printer up. Instead, it referred you to the web siteij.start.canon. This is a fraudulent non Canon website. While following their instructions, the web site says the connection download has failed and refers, tell you not to try again as it will damage your system and instructs you to phone an 844 number. During the call that was supposed to connect my new printer with my computer, I was led into a website that allowed them to access my computer. Yes, I was stupid.At the end of this long conversation, I was told that I needed to purchase a virus protection application and it would cost $299.99. I was getting suspicious all along, but thought, It’s Canon. I was wrong.I promptly told them to get out of my system immediately. It looked as though they did while continuing to tell me i needed to pay the money. I then hung up.I then spent the next two hours figuring out how to connect the printer to my computer. I got it going and it works fine.However…..Now every day I have to check my bank, investments and credit card balances to make sure they are not getting into my financial accounts.AMAZON SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS!!!!! I don’t know who slipped the fraudulent “Getting Started” manual into the box, but I doubt it was Canon.

I had a previous printer that suddenly stopped taking the paper no matter what I did it just wouldn’t reach down to take the paper in so I had to replace it. I am so glad I did have to replace it because this printer is heads above my previous one even when it was working at its best! Setting it up with my iPhone was a little tricky but I was able to do it with extra steps that they give you if the auto set up doesn’t work. I haven’t set it up with my Mac air yet but I’m sure it will be a breeze. it’s also nice that there is a place in the back of the printer to put photo paper. You don’t have to use the back feeder except for photo paper. The front of the printer has a tray that easily moves out for you to place paper in it and then the catch tray that retrieves what you printed pulls out right above the paper tray. It has a multi page feeder on top for wanting to copy multiple pages, as well as two sided printing and one single page printing if you just lift the top and place the image on the glass. putting the ink in as much easier than my old printer where I had to reach inside the guts. With this printer you just lift the top and you can easily access the printer cartridges. It does come with one color and one black-and-white cartridge but I’m kind of guessing that they’re probably not as full as when you buy a brand new cartridge by itself. But I don’t print very often just the occasional label every now and then so I think I’m going to be fine. I do recommend this printer but not if you have older operating systems only if you have modern ones. I wasn’t able to get it to work with my iMac which is from early 2000. But I have the latest update for the iPhone and I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I can print from there.PS: the image I am attaching is a full letter size printout of a picture that was about 5 x 6 and printed on regular letter paper, not glossy photo paper. It’s a little on the soft side but when you see it in person, it’s good enough to put in a frame and hang on the wall.PPS: I didn’t rate tech-support because I am thinking they mean over the phone tech-support and not just the how-to for setting it up that you can get online. Since I haven’t used one-on-one tech-support, I decided not to rate that. But as far as what’s given to me online, it was very easy to understand and simple to set up.

I have been an HP gal forever. Not anymore. My last one only lived 3 years, and I thought I would try an inexpensive other brand just to get me by. I print a lot in my home office, 200+ pages a month. It prints beautifully, small footprint. love that I can keep envelopes loaded in the back feeder instead of having to put them in the tray. Knock on wood, haven’t had a jam yet. Also, I have never been an ink subscriber, but for $10 month this is awesome! HIghly recommend so far, let’s see what its lifespan is.

Because this is an older model printer, I did have a little trouble setting it up. The instructions to set up with wireless weren’t there but after struggling to connect to my iPhone, I finally accomplished it. I did print out a practice page and all went well.Also, the directions to load the print cartridges were not for this particular printer and that gave me a little trouble but I persevered and was able to get that doneThe other thing is when I went to the printer app, it looked like I was to be charged for every paper I printed. I still am not sure if that’s going to happen but if it does, I will NOT be very happy!

Easy to set up. The Canon instructions are ok, but the YouTube videos will show you everything you need to know. I use my printer basically for returns to Amazon and legal documents. So far everything has been easy and perfect. I bought this because my relatively new Canon 7420 simply collapsed–worst printer I have ever used. I often wonder if Amazon actually uses the. products it is recommending, like the printer which died after six months.

I purchased this Canon PIXMA TR7020a desktop copier to replace an older Canon Maxify that I just could not get connected to my new home internet. This one was very quick & easy to connect. It has a few less bells & whistles than the old one, but does have one feature I really missed in the Maxify which is 2-sided copying. I’m going to enjoy this particular capability. I agree that the body is sort of thin plastic. However it’s just me using the machine so less chance of accidents happening (I hope!). It fits nicely on a small table in the dining room where I use the laptop. The printer was described as refurbished but appears to be totally new based on the packing & pristine condition. The seller got it to me one day quicker than anticipated, too. Altogether I’m very pleased! We’ll see how the printer holds up & how easy it is for me to use.
