We have a very high window in the stairway that lets in a tremendous amount of heat during the summer. A quote from one of the big box stores was twice what this shade was, so I thought I would give it a try.Both the shade and the solar panel were easy to install. There is no drilling involved and the solar panel sticks to the window. It took more time to get the ladder set up than the installation. The remote works perfectly.We’ve only had it a short period of time but it has made a noticeable difference in the solar gain on the stairs.It looks nice when it’s down and once the sun has moved to the other side of the house, we just lift the shade with the remote.

The media could not be loaded. After installing the shade, it stopped functioning after just two days. I charged the battery, but it still doesn’t work. Unsure if the problem lies with the remote, battery, cable, or the motor, I attempted to contact customer service, but I’m yet to receive a response.Update: I discovered a button on the battery that, when pressed, operates the shade, raising and lowering it so it lead my investigation to issue with the remote. After researching online, I found a similar remote, successfully reset it, and now the shade functions properly. I enjoy the shade but wish for a more comprehensive manual to avoid spending two hours searching for useful information.

I have them hanging in my dining room and they are perfect! Definitely blacks out and makes a room beautiful. The most important thing is that it is very easy to install. If there is no accident, I plan to use them in the remaining rooms.

I ordered these shades as a replacement for some worn out fabric shades I had on my kitchen door. I have to say that I am extremely impressed with them. They came very well packaged with simple, clear instructions.As I would be installing the shades on a door, rather than a window with a recessed casing I had to use the provided clip brackets. The brackets couldn’t be easier to install. A couple simple measurements, a couple drilled holes, a couple of screws and done. Once the brackets were in place, the shade clicked easily in place. They can also be easily removed by pressing a tab on each of the retaining brackets.A couple pieces of advice: 1) Place the clips so they will attach to the blind about 1/3rd of the way in on each side. If they are too close to the ends of the shade bar, they will not click in place. 2) If you plan to use the battery recharger rather than the solar panel, like I am, be sure to mount the shade so the battery pack faces out for easy access.Due to circumstances that were not conducive to using the included solar panel, I opted to go with the rechargeable battery option. I will say that I think it’s awesome that they provide the solar panel and hope to get the chance to use it some day.Once the battery was fully charged, I easily clicked it in place and gave the blinds a try. They worked great. I will say that they are a bit slow, but that’s ok. It gives the cat ample warning to move before getting bonked in the head.I set aside a couple hours to install these shades. It took me less than an hour, leaving me with an extra hour to enjoy a cup of coffee while admiring my fantastic new shades.

Every time I mention my motorized blinds to someone they think it stupid but I have to tell you, it’s a game changer. Just that one little thing of the blinds opening each morning feels amazing every time. Sure, it’s easy to do it yourself, but never having to get up and adjust my blinds again? That is true luxury. These blinds were super easy to install and didn’t require a drill at all. I love that they just use solar to charge, although that may mean you need to put it in a window that gets some sun. These are priced great for all that they offer.

Pretty cool setup. Didn’t take much to install, maybe 15 minutes. The solar is a nice touch. Especially if the window is not in an easily accessible area. The window I have it on gets direct sun for most of the day so I never really have issues with power. Pretty quiet and has smooth opening and closing. Overall happy with these
