After reading other reviews, I have a feeling they have made some improvements to the app, because I had absolute no problem setting it up. It was probably under 5 minutes from plugging it in to playing music with alexa/spotify.I do wish there was an equalizer to dial back the bass just a tad. But I have found that I prefer a bit less bass than the average listener. But it definitely doesn’t sound boomy or overly bass heavy.Overall, this thing is fantastic. For the money, you cannot do better. And I have heard a lot of speakers. The sound is far superior to any alexa device, even the more expensive Alexa studio. It isn’t as good as my home stereo that cost me a couple grand, but its good enough to satisfy even a very discerning ear.

The sound is great. Good bass which is something I always look for. It does provide sufficient supported volume.I like how it integrates with Alexa. I was a little confused at first because I didn’t see it as a speaker on my app, but showed up as a device like another Alexa. I’m not an expert by any means, but I wasn’t expecting it to behave this way. An unexpected option for me was Alexa sets my alarms on it now. So I set one and shut off the internet to see what would happen and it still sounded the alarm correctly. I really liked that too.I’m very satisfied with this purchase. Amazing speaker for its price.

I got these for $89/each on a Black Friday sale and set them up this weekend. I’m trying to replace my Echo devices with speakers that don’t have a microphone built in, and these definitely fit the bill. I got two so that I could pair them as a stereo set, and they definitely outperform all of my Echo speakers from a sound quality standpoint. They were super easy to set up, and offer plenty of power for my purposes. Would definitely buy again, but only at the discounted price. I considered Sonos too, but these far exceeded my expectations at half the price of Sonos.

I’ve eyed Sonas for years now and was tempted but reviews and being locked into their system kept me looking. I looked into a raspberry pi multi room/input that just came out of Kickstarter and that’s more than I wanted to take on. I just want a post construction multi room platform.I’d purchased a pair of S2000s and was very happy with the build and sound. Then I found these little gems. This does what I want. Solid sound. Small footprint. AC power with no wall wort plug.Yes it uses Alexa to link for grouping but no voice data mapping so I’m cool with it.The price point is nice.Thank you for bringing this to market, I’ve waited for my dream to manifest.

I have two OG Apple HomePod’s that I love. I wanted to add to my Airplay 2 ecosystem so I gave this Edifier “smart speaker” a try.WOW!! It keeps up with the HomePods. Digs down deep on the lows, and is a little brighter than the HomePod’s surprisingly on the highs. It stays in sync with all other Airplay 2 speakers. It’s just a great little speaker that sounds way way way out of its weight class. My only criticism is that you can not crank it to full volume like I can the HomePod’s. At anything over 80% volume you can here it start to distort on the lows. I can turn the HomePod’s all the way up but I can not do the same with this speaker. While sort of annoying, it’s ok as just one of these speakers is louder than two HomePod’s!!I can not wait to get another one or 3 of these!

This is a great sounding speaker. I bought it so I could listen to Alexa music in my office. The Alexa app would not pair up the speaker and my Echo Show. This was an app issue not the speaker. However, by using the settings on the Echo Show itself I was able to make the blue tooth connection. I created a speaker group to include the Edifier and setup was complete. Now I just use the Alexa app to pull up favorite music in the office. The sound is really nice. Would highly recommend.

We have (4) four Edifier MS50A speakers and an Edifier S1000W pair. We use them for whole-house sound with Apple Airplay 2. They all work great together if your WiFi can handle enough devices streaming together. Very pleased so far.

Fun speaker, great sound except if you use your phone while it’s on, a Facebook or Instagram sound will cut in!

Haven’t had much chance to play around with them. Once my office set up is complete I’ll update with more in depth review.Update: this speaker is nice and full base feel, the other ranges are complimenting to the deep base that fills my office. I plan on getting a second one.

I bought this speaker as a companion to my workout machine and connected to it over BlueTooth and it also works over AirPlay. Switching between the two is easy with a single tap.The sound quality is amazing and it can get very loud. The cabinet makes for a very warm tone.
