Works great. No false triggers and stay open feature works good. Would recommend to mfg to install an on/off switch for when you insert/remove batteries. Since they are on the bottom and seat strongly, you have to place the top upside down and as soon as last battery makes contact, the lid will try to open. Concerned this could cause damage to opening/closing mechanism.

A person should never get this excited about trash… alas here we are. I put the 4 AA batteries in and it sprang to life. It comes with bags that seem like they are way too big. I followed the directions to put them in any way. You stuff the extra bag top into a little hole in the top rim. As soon as you put the top back on, it starts some voodoo vacuum magic where it sucks the bag in (make sure you haven’t covered the suction hole). So when you want to throw a kleenex into a freshly emptied trash bag, it doesn’t have to sit on top waiting for something to push it down. It will just go straight to the bottom where it belongs.The sensor to open is pretty sensitive and you don’t have to be right over it. This thing is truly touch-free. But if you need more than 5 seconds to throw your trash away, there’s a touch sensor next to the motion detector. That will leave the can open until you touch it again to close it. It’s literally just a touch though… not a button to push.Drawbacks… 4 AA batteries. I really wish this had a cord for recharging. No worries if the batteries go dead though. I snuck up behind it and was able to effortlessly open the top and just gently pushed it and it quietly and gently closed itself. The only other thing is I’d like it to be a bit larger. Also, a stainless steel model would be nice too.Would I buy this again? yep… once the bathroom remodel is done, I think I’ll put one in each room.
