[UPDATE]After my first review I was just going to bite the bullet and except my disappointment in the scale. To my surprise, a customer service representative from Etekcity reached out TO ME about my concerns. Turns out, my scale somehow got damaged internally during shipping (even though everything looked fine on the inside). They sent me a new scale (though it took a few weeks) at no extra charge to me, to replace the damaged one. I waited about a month or two to update my review and I can say that everything still works great, the batteries have not died, and the scale is giving consistent accurate readings. I tested with an 8lb dumbbell several times a day for a week and each time it read 8.2. The extra 0.2 may bother some people, but I can live with that. I could not be more pleased! I now love the scale, it looks wonderful, and the customer service of this company went beyond my expectations. If you are not satisfied with your scale, I would recommend reaching out to the company directly before returning your scale to Amazon.The scale looks fantastic and I loved everything about it, the only problem I had was the inconsistency of the weight. In a span of 5 min I lost or gained several pounds. I’m getting back into weight lifting and want a consistent scale (although I loveeeee the look of this one) kinda defeats the overall purpose if the weight isn’t right. Aside from that it was very easy to connect to the app, which automatically detected the health app on my phone and allowed me to adjust my preferences and that automatically connected to my fitness pal.

The scale worked perfectly out of box, synced with the phone app (VeSync on iOS) within seconds. From there, setting up WiFi was pretty painless and the stats the app provides are quite useful. I enjoy the fact that thank to WiFi, I don’t need to have my smartphone on me when weighing myself – it will sync automatically when I open the app next.My one comment (on the app) is that the app defaults to a setting that plays quite a loud, rather silly-sounding noise whenever new data is uploaded from whichever device has VeSync. Thankfully, that sound can be enabled or disabled in the app settings.The display is very neat – bright white letters that appear beneath the surface make the scale feel even more futuristic. As an added bonus, it is clearly and easily legible at night.From a materials perspective, the scale feels nice – solid and industrial. I had some mild reservations when I saw the glass-like surface, but it has held up with zero scratches and zero cracks after an inch or so drop. Also, multiple stumbles (on account of having a new scale 😅) have bumped the scale into other objects with no visible or functional damage to the scale. Overall, very tough item. Highly recommend.

It is a scale.Under the heading of “you have one job.” it does that amazingly well, and with style. It sits unobtrusively on the floor in the corner of the bathroom, the white glass design almost blending in with the tile floor. You barely notice its there, until it comes time to use it.You step on. Little electronic minions jump to life and the numbers appear, crisp and white and very easy to read at the top. A moment later, it flashes and holds the number while you step off and realize that second helping of tiramisu was probably not a good idea.It did that one job magnificently.Now, this scale is an overachiever. It has Bluetooth capability, can hook up with your smartphone and fitness apps to deliver all sorts of body analysis numbers – BMI, body fat percentage, lean muscle weight, etc. Me, I’m not that much of a body geek. Yet. I have a feeling this thing may turn me into one.That and my doctor being unhappy about too many second helpings of tiramisu.But for now, I’ll stay happy about the way this thing does the one job. It weighs me. accurately, and in a way I can read it easily. Well done.

I received my Etekcity Scale for my birthday (I requested it!) in August. The scale seemed accurate and I was pleased with it, but the lights would come on randomly throughout the day. I didn’t think too much about it, but it was eating up the batteries. In November I received an email from Etekcity asking my thoughts on the scale. I replied that I was happy with it, except the lights would come on randomly and it was eating up batteries. They responded the next day and told me they would send me a new scale fully covered. They also wanted the numbers off the back for them to locate the root cause and avoid a similar issue happening. I received the new scale within a week and have been extremely satisfied with the new scale. The lights do not come on randomly at all. I was also concerned about the Vesyncfit APP because my Norton App Utility on my phone warned that it wasn’t safe due to intrusive adds. David from Etekcity assured me that he uses the app and he doesn’t receive any intrusive adds. Once I received the new scale I downloaded the Vesyncfit APP and have been very happy with it as well. I do not receive any intrusive adds and I really like all the different readings it provides. I would recommend the Etekcity Smart Bluetooth Body Fat Scale to anyone looking for a digital scale.

The scale itself is sleek and well built while the packaging, documentation and IOS app are well designed and reflect positively on the manufacturer. The app syncs easily and is more useful and user friendly than I expected from a company I had not previously heard of. Every time I step on the scale with my phone in the vicinity of the scale it automatically records weight, date and time. The weight and BMI are likely quite accurate, not sure about some of the other data points such as body water, metabolic age, etc. Would not hesitate to purchase again.

Really loved this scale, and loved connecting it to the app and calculating my bmi, body fat etc. I’ve been weighing myself almost every week for 2 years. Today I went to weigh one before I started my next diet and it wasn’t working. Flipped it over to change batteries and it was badly corroded. Not sure how this happend when I just weighed in about a week ago and it was just fine. Unfortunately I’m sure I have no Warranty after a years time so I’ll have to buy another.

I can’t say this scale changed my life, but it does everything advertised and works very well and I’ve been very happy with it. But about 9 months after purchase, it began acting weird and flashing 0.0 on a regular basis, running down the batteries.I emailed Etekcity’s support to ask if there was something I could do, not even really thinking about replacement or how long I had owned it. After a couple of ideas to try (that I had already tried), they said if I could provide purchase info they would send a replacement. I had tossed my paperwork long ago, but since I bought it on Amazon, it was easy enough to look up and send. A few days later a replacement unit showed up, no other questions asked. Etekcity really does want the customer to be satisfied, which is not so common these days. Definitely increased the likelihood I will buy another Etekcity product in the future!

I love this scale. The reminders, Bluetooth uploads and all of the information provided by this scale makes it a must have part of my weight loss journey and will become a staple in my weight management. The functionality alone makes this scale amazing, but the design is so sleek and modern it doesn’t feel like a “black mark” in you bathroom. The white glass cleans easily and the feet help keep it stable. I especially love the auto calibration as I do have to move my scale for each use and the auto zero feature is fantastic. I highly recommend this scale to anyone who wants to keep a better handle on their weight and body composition.This is an unbiased review, I did NOT receive this item as a promotion/gift for a review.

I’ve had this scale for about a week and have no complaints! I always worry about Bluetooth devices connecting to my phone but it was seamless with both my Google Pixel (which is known for Bluetooth issues) and my new iPhone 8. You do have to download a separate app, but it seems to work well on both operating systems (iOS and Android). It syncs with my Fitbit app easily as well.Seems to give an accurate reading no matter how you stand on it, and when it calibrates it only takes a few seconds. I’m not sure I understand how they get the other information- body fat %, water weight etc., but it’s a good motivator!I was going to buy the Fitbit scale but didn’t want to spend $100+ on it; I think I made the right choice!!

Love this scale! After previously buying body fat analyzer scales that ALWAYS stopped working properly after a couple of months, I am very happy with this scale. I recently got a DEXA scan done (most accurate way to measure body fat), and the results of my scan match the results of this scale within a 10th of a decimal, so I was satisfied to see that it’s numbers are accurate. Had no issues with setting up the app for connecting to the scale, and I like the fact that the data is stored so that you can do regular comparisons and track progress. I would definitely recommend purchasing.
