The media could not be loaded. This compact and easy-to-use device has given me peace of mind during my travels yet at relatively low cost. The P18 is a multi-functional detector that can detect RF signals, hidden cameras, and GPS trackers. It’s also very portable and lipstick-sized, making it easy to pack and take with you on the go. It can accurately detect hidden devices in a variety of settings. I’ve also found the foldable viewfinder to be very helpful, as it allows me to see in dark or hard-to-reach places.Overall, I recommend the Apantimx Hidden Camera Detector P18 to anyone who is concerned about their privacy. It’s a must-have travel companion that can help you stay safe and secure.

This is a compact detector device that works quite well. You can use the vibrate or beep option for detection which is nice. It also has a built in flash light and the infrared light to scan for a hidden camera lens. Great to take when traveling & staying in hotels or anywhere. Comes with the detector, charging cable & user manual.

I have had other scanners in the past that worked fairly well at a higher price point and they were larger. This scanner is easy to hold and easy to store in your pocket. When I turned it on I quickly cycled through the buttons and learned on the fly what each one did and how easy it was to operate this without the instructions. This P18 scanner picked up my wifi and camera on the most sensitive setting when I entered the room. The red lens works well, and I like the mute function so I don’t have to listen to the beeping. Overall this is well worth the money for peace of mind if you want to scan vacation homes and other places you stay before you get comfortable.

Finding a hidden recording device in any location may not always be an easy task for most people unless they are familiar with places that they should be looking or they do a thorough sweep. That said, let me tell you what this device is not. This is not is a magical device that you can just turn on and expect to have all of the hidden recording devices jump out at you within a few seconds. It requires some work with any detector, especially if the cameras are stealthy or not actively transmitting at the time of the sweep. What this device is is a device that will assist you in your search of finding hidden recording devices if you use it properly. Like any other detector, it requires some patience and a thorough sweep if you want to find everything that should not be there. This device seemed to do that incredibly well for such a compact size when I tested it.The thing I liked best about this device is the radio frequency detector. I started testing it by putting all of my own devices (cellphone, watch, etc.) in another room to avoid interference or false positives. I then went straight towards my wireless router. With the sensitivity turned all the way up, this device started picking up the signal from several feet away through a wooden door which I did not expect. As I got closer, so did the signal it was picking up as expected. I played a bit with the sensitivity and was very impressed! The next test was to go to a few different security cameras that I had in my own house. I walked up close to a few of them to see if they would pick anything up with the radio transmitter detector. The cameras were not broadcasting at the time, so the frequency detector did not trigger on the device as expected. When I opened the camera app on my phone to get the cameras transmitting and reapproached the same cameras, the detector went off as it should have. I believe most people don’t realize that when wireless devices are not actively transmitting, the majority of the time they will not be detectable by using this method. The next thing I looked at was the infrared lens finder. Since I really did not have any “hidden” cameras in my home, it was a bit harder to test. It did spot the lenses of the cameras I did have (TV, computer, standalone cameras) when I examined them closely. This method works best in complete darkness but for user to be able to use this most effectively, they need to do some research on ways people hide hidden cameras, otherwise, you could be wasting your time. Outlets, alarm clocks, charging cords, two way mirrors, and tiny holes hidden in the walls are a few of the ways people will use to spy on and unknowingly record others. To summarize, if you are in a hotel room or an Airbnb, you should first do an RF sweep with the RF detector. Even if it initially turns up nothing, there still could be hidden devices that are not actively transmitting. Then you should use this device to assist you in a visual sweep, which works best in complete darkness. When doing the visual sweep, approach anything that looks suspect or that you believe could be hiding a camera, and look for a lens reflection. try this out with a known camera so that you know what you are actually looking for.I briefly tested the magnetic detector, and magnets did trigger the device, but since this is a part of the device I probably would not use, I did not spend a lot of time with it.The built-in Flashlight was also a nice touch!

This little unit is really cool and super easy to use.First it’s very small a little bit larger than a chap stick. The charging cable is a usb- c makes charging easy no glasses needed lolAfter using this in my own home and checking to see if it would detect all my devices it passed with flying colors but in all fairness I knew where the devices were so I went to a friend’s house and brought along one of my little spy cams.So before I knocked on his door his garage door was open so I put my camera up on his shelf above his work bench and then knocked. So I gave him the detector and explained all about it and we tested it out and it worked great and once again it picked up all of his devices so I said let’s check your garage knowing he had a camera out there including the one I placed. So he checked his camera and it picked up the signal so I said turn out the lights and check the infrared part and it worked so I said let’s scan the rest of the garage and when he got to the work bench it did see the LEDs on the hidden camera and he looked at me and I laughed. He also had a couple of magnetic part trays on his refrigerator so we tested out the unit and it did indicate the magnetic field pretty cool. The flashlight on the end is also a nice feature. We both liked the unit and agreed this is a must for staying at a hotel. One last question he had was if he turned off his camera would it still set the unit off and it did not letting us know if a camera was on and recording or not

I just got back from a week-long motel stay, and couldn’t be happier with this device! After thoroughly testing the unit at home, scanning for all RF/magnets/cameras, I felt safe in the knowledge that if there was anything hiding out in our room, this thing would find it. Magnet and RF scanning couldn’t be simpler, and the ability to select multiple modes for the red camera lens detector made it easy to spot camera lenses. You can potentially miss a camera with the solid red light, but by changing to a flashing light it’s like watching a cat winking at you in a dark room. The new compact design makes it easy to stow in your day pack or suitcase to have with you on any adventure!

I ordered this item because I believe the tenant above me has cameras and listening devices implanted in the wall. Upton receipt I tested out the device. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. It is well-designed and reasonably priced. The quality looks quite good! Detector in hopes of finding the hidden devices (and other surveillance) on my own and avoid having to bring it to a professional ($250+). I believe it’s worth a try if it suits your needs. So far, I am happy with the cost and ability of the device and happy I bought it.

I love to carry different styles of hidden cam detectors, as we travel a lot and stay in Hotels or Airbnb.I found this one to be amazing in terms of size and accuracy, I tried it at home and it works just fine.I charged it once and it’s still working since that time, I have no idea how long it’s gonna hold up with one charge, but it seems like forever, and I really like that it holds charge.Just make sure you read the instructions carefully before operating it and hopefully, you never find a hidden cam, this is everyone’s worst nightmare!

This product works exactly as advertised. Is able to find hidden devices using wifi and cameras with ease. Lots of functions for a reasonable price, would recommend to others.
