I was looking to replace an 11 year old scale which wasn’t broken until I went to replace the CR2032 mercury cell button batteries that it used. It was a pain getting the battery covers off and then I broke one of the contacts prying the batteries out. Enough of that!So I started a search on Amazon and was pleasantly surprised to find that almost all of these electronic scales are now using either 2 or 3 AAA batteries which are cheap, readily available, and easy to use instead of the expensive specialty CR2032 batteries which are a pain to use.The old scale was very consistent and accurate and was always dead on with a calibrated balance beam scale I use at the gym. I’m happy to report this scale seems just as accurate and consistent on our level tile bathroom floor. I think the technology and manufacturing know how for these mechanical strain gauge / load cells are about as good as they ever need to be.This scale and most others have some nice features that my old scale lacked.First, the old scale calibrated itself every time you used it. So you had to tap it with your foot and then wait for it to zero itself before stepping on to weigh yourself. Not a huge deal but an extra step in the process. This scale can calibrate itself but, you don’t need to do it every time you weigh yourself. Simply calibrate the first time in whatever location you decide to place it. Then just step on the scale every time you want to weigh yourself. The only time you need to re-calibrate is if you move the scale to a new location and it literally takes a few seconds.Second, our old scale had a gray scale LED display that was not back-lit. It worked in a well lit room but not so much in poor lighting. This scale has a display that is probably 33% larger with a very readable black font that is back-lit with a nice blue glow. It’s really nice looking and very easy to read in any lighting. Our old scale also had body fat measuring circuitry that passed a very low current through your lower body. After owning one of those I did not want that feature again. My personal experience told me that technology is wildly inaccurate. And all of the reading I did backed up my personal experience. Current research indicates those body fat monitors are consistently off by 5-8%. At that level of accuracy, in my opinion, they are worthless. I never used it on the old scale. I use a mirror instead. So the fact that this scale can’t measure body fat was exactly what I wanted. One thing that really put me off this scale initially was the size(s) quoted in the product description. It quotes a 12″ X 13″ size and then also talks about a 17.5″ X 17.5″ size. Holy cow 17.5″ X 17.5″ is huge. I didn’t want something that took up that sort of floor space in a bathroom even though our master bath is pretty big. Well, not to worry. The scale is indeed 12″ X 13″ like most normal bathroom scales. The 17.5″ X 17.5″ measurement is a diagonal measurement that goes from corner to corner. This thing is not some beast that’s gonna take up a lot of space on your bathroom floor. They really should include a graphic in the product listing showing what each set of measurements represents. As for the looks, it’s nice. Our bathroom has white tile floors, white double vanities, white plumbing fixtures, white ceilings, white trim paint, and a deep rich and somewhat dark gold / green wall paint. This scale fits right in. It’s not solid white so it doesn’t disappear into the white tile floor. But it doesn’t contrast so much that it draws attention like “what’s that thing doing here”. It looks like it belongs in the room.As other reviewers have noted, it is not a true white. The faux marble pattern is attached to the underside of the glass platform. And it is a reasonable imitation of a marble look. But unfortunately, the glass is standard run of the mill tempered safety glass. And that means it has a slightly green tinge of color to it. The faux marble look would come off a lot better if the glass were perfectly clear. But using run of the mill safety glass probably keeps the price point low and the range of suppliers plentiful so, I can understand why they made the design choice. For me, it’s not a big enough deal to make me reject the product. You’l have to decide for yourself.Overall, I’m really happy with this scale. Highly recommended.

My husband and I started together on a weight loss/fitness program and wanted to know exactly what we were losing or gaining. Our 20 yr old spring scale would never give us the same reading twice, either seconds or hours apart. This was because the little spindle on the old scale would bounce around and give us just an approximate weight. I ordered this iDOO digital scale (because of the great reviews on Amazon) and we are totally happy with how well it works, quickly and efficiently and consistently. The scale has a larger platform than other similar scales, and my husband’s size 12 feet fit just as well on it as my size 6’s do, and the weight reading is large and clear and backlit so it’s easily read. We love this scale! The only con about this scale is: The “white” marble glass top is not white at all, not like the picture or the description. It’s a green that definitely does not go with our brown tiled bathroom floor and SoCal room colors. (I tried putting it on a white floor to see if that made a difference, but sadly that didn’t help). Finally: Despite the green color, I feel that it still looks elegant enough. Changing my review from 5 to 4 stars simply due to the unfortunate color just doesn’t feel appropriate. I want to judge this scale on its function, accuracy, consistency, and ease of use. It really is “durable, sturdy and steady”—and that is exactly what we needed and wanted. For that I give it 5 out of 5.

When looking at the scales the best sellers were in the $10-15 dollar range. I wasn’t surprised, after it’s just a scale and I had added the cheaper scale to my cart but out of curiosity I was reading the full description of the rest.I really liked iDoo because of the marbled appearance, it matched my floor but I wasn’t paying extra just for that detail. Then I began comparing LED screens. The reason for getting a new scale was because I was having trouble reading my spinning wheel dial even with my glasses and it was hopeless without. Some of the LED screens were small or black on grey which would make them difficult to read as well (including the one in my cart)Then I got interested in the batteries because the one in my cart took special batteries, which meant a hassle to replace so I opted to limit myself to standard AA or AAA battery scales (which omitted the one in my cart). So with my new preferences the iDoo was now in the lower end of the price ranges, and I did love the look so I purchased it. Great choice! I was a bit concerned the marble look I was so drawn to would be cheap and cheesy looking in person but it isn’t. The coloring is behind the glass and it looks exactly as pictured. The LED display is huge and so easy to read there is no guessing even without my glasses. The platform is very wide so there is no awkward ‘feet together’ balancing act. It is thin, sleek, elegant, and yet undoubtedly durable.I was not only pleased with this scale, it exceeded my expectations and I confidently recommend it.

I’m finally providing a review, because after 5 years the batteries finally got used up. I’ve been tracking my weight twice a day for the last 5 years since I got this, and I have to say it’s a wonderfully reliable scale. I have size 13M-14W feet and my feet fit fine on it. It’s easy to use, even if you want to just reset and try again (pick it up and put it down again) and it doesn’t waiver on its accuracy (just had a doctor’s appointment and the weight there matched, plus a little for extra clothes and shoes I don’t normally weight at home with). Of course, active households or those with kids should consider the breakability of glass, but I’ve never had a problem on my own, including the move (where I kept it in its original box). I’m impressed that it took 5 years for the batteries (just two AAAs) to finally run down. A great purchase.

We are all watching our weight and this scale makes is easy for all of us to use , even my guys with their size 13 feet. Accurate enough that even the dog can get weighed. Digital display is large enough to read even without my glasses .

Very pretty. Works great. Feels sturdy when you touch it but looks fragile on the floor. Still getting use yo it.

I ordered this old scale in 2017 and I loved it! It looked like I needed a new one since the old scale was starting to fall apart so I decided to replace it with the same new one. The new scale is smaller and the color is the same. It looks like the technology is better on the new scale. It’s so easy to use. I like simple things, not complicated things! The batteries are easy to replace when you need to, and all you have to do is weigh yourself, with the digital light turning on and your weight shows up. I love this scale!

I bought this scale over 5 and a half years ago photos show my 5.5 year old scale held up all this time. . My 3 year old messed with it jumping up and down couple days ago now weight shows me lighter, but before she did that , it was 100% exact same from Doctor off in Dec 2023, with clothes on… ran home after doctor and weight with clothes on and it was 100% plus a couple oz….because I drank water on way home. I am buying another one right now as I love it. 100% works. I had many others before I bought this 5 years ago. Seems the smaller scales don’t work. It is glass and amazing. Thank u to the company who made these.
