I had decided to buy a lock from a different company but changed my mind after reading several bad reviews about reliability and customer support. I decided to buy this Kwikset lock because I was familiar with the company and the reviews were positive. I received my lock and it installed easily and quickly just like the step-by-step instructions said but the lock did not work. I called customer support and they were both cordial and helpful, walking me through their diagnostic protocols. When the lock failed with them, they immediately offered to send me a link and instructions to receive a new lock by mail (NO charge and I didn’t have to return the non-functioning lock). All I had to do was complete and submit an on-line form with digital photos of my failed lock. She said so they would be able to send me the correct lock. Made perfect sense because my lock finish was one of three different finishes. It arrived within 7-10 days. Easy to install and works perfectly! I will buy Kwikset again and I will recommend Kwikset to anyone who asks. What a refreshing customer experience!!

So thankful to finally have this lock so I can easily lock/unlock when my hands are full. Also, it has come in handy sev times already when someone needed to run by, and we were unable to get them a key. Easy to program also! My only complaint is that we were unable to get it to work properly for the first couple of weeks. We would program it, and it would only work once or twice. I looked all over the internet, trying to figure out possible reasons for this. I Was finally going to call customer service when it occurred to my husband that it might be bc we were using rechargeable batteries. We replaced them with normal batteries and have had no issues since!! Would def recommend this lock!!

This was a perfect addition to my son’s front door. He loves that is isn’t “smart” or wifi enabled. He was able to install easily and the smart key function is also a plus. Easy to program and easy to use!

The Kwikset Powerbolt 250 10-Button Keypad in Matte Black was a great buy. Its very durable, and easy to install. The programming was simple. You can have multiple codes for front door entry or even a one time code. I am very happy with the look and performance, would definitely recommend it.

Although I always close my overhead garage door, I used to leave my walk-through door unlocked during the day because I’m in & out all day. That was until I found a homeless woman sleeping on my garage floor behind my truck.I wanted something secure that I can access easily without a key.Since all 3 of my house locks are Kwikset, I opted for this one because it has the Smartlock feature meaning I can rekey it so one key operates all of my locks.I installed it a few weeks ago and I’m satisfied with it. I’d purchase again.

If you over tighten the latch will malfunction I backed the 2 internal screws out a half turn and it works perfectly. Also, make sure to adjust the lower strike plate for the door knob forward or backwards otherwise the deadbolt will not line up properly.

These are great locks if they’re installed PERFECTLY!!! If the dead bolt touches the strike plate at all when you’re locking using the keyless feature, you will get an error message. Our door installer was really scratching his head on one of the three we had installed; it just wouldn’t lock without the error code. ***. Note to installers: We ended up buying a strike plate separately that had an opening that was just the tiniest bit larger and it solved the issue.
