This is so stinking simple. Install batteries, set it up in Smart Life app, and stick it wherever you want. I don’t know how it runs on AAA batteries and jumps on the internet so fast. It literally takes 3 seconds to get an app notification and to start turning off my “Smart Water Valve,Wifi Control Water/Gas Shut Off Valve”. My basement should now be protected from any leaks.

This leak detector works great and is easy to set up. I read reviews here that said people were having trouble setting this up because their router was a 5 GHz router. It is true, this device only works on 2.4 GHz.I have an Eero set up. My eero works on both 2.4 AND 5 GHz. You can set this device up if you have an eero. Here is how you do it:1. Go to your eero app settings.2. Near the bottom you will see “troubleshooting. “ Press on troubleshooting.3. At the top of troubleshooting you will see, “my device won’t connect. “ Press this.4. Now you will see, “my device is 2.4 GHz only. “. Press this.5. At the bottom you will see a blue tab that says “temporarily pause 5 GHz.” Press this.You can now easily install your Mobi devices. When you are finished installing them, go back and press “cancel.” If you forget to press cancel, don’t worry, it is on a 15 minute timer, and at the end of 15 minutes your eero will revert back to both 2.4 and 5 GHz.I only have the Mobi water/leak detectors, but I assume this will work on all Mobi products, if you have an Eero. Hope this helps.

We bought this because we are away from the house periodically, and I wanted to be sure it works REMOTELY, i.e. alert you when you are away from the house and only connected via cell tower not wi-fi. I just tested that and it works GREAT. The sensor uses your wi-fi to send an alert message to the internet to a cloud server, then the app on your phone senses that alert because it too is connected to the cloud server. Within a few seconds the alert will come up on your phone.

I’ll start with itll annoy you until you acknowledge the chirp. The alarm isn’t on the subtle side. It will ring until you stop it from have the sensor touching water. The app is easy to access and user friendly. This tool is useful and much needed for someone who worries about water or flooding!

My child is fed through a gtube and occasionally his tubing gets disconnected at night and food spills and soaks his bed. This sensor has saved waking up to a wet bed and a mad kid 3 times since I got it- and it’s THE BEST!!!! It alarms instantly and saves the day!

I have a washing machine that occasionally decides that the water should just keep flowing…and flowing…and flowing. On one occasion, the entire upstairs was flooded and water was pouring out of the ceiling downstairs. Landlord doesnt want to fix it, so this device was my alternative.Now whenever I do laundry, I have the sensor in the pan under the washer, so if it starts to overflow, I’ll get a notification to go shut the water off. No more flooded condo.

It was so nice to know that this inexpensive unit works to detect the water in our sewer tank and that it would hook into my smart phone so that I am not worried about a septic back up in my basement. Super easy to use as I barely had to read the directions to hook into wifi.

This leak detector is easy to install and actually works. The best part is you don’t have to be on the same wifi to receive alerts. You can be anywhere you have an internet connection. One problem is it doesn’t alert you if the communication link is broken. It would be great if it alerted that the comm link is not working. It would be useful if it displayed the last time it tested the battery.
