I chose this TV to use as a work monitor, and I’m glad I did. I needed maximum real-estate to fit all my applications, remote desktops, as well as use a chat app that was always in view. Some of the pros of this TV/monitor is the extremely high contrast ratios. I don’t have a professional calibration unit, but I would estimate it is at least 4000-5000 to 1. I’ve seen much worse on higher priced monitors. It’s really stunning when compared to an older monitor, you can’t believe that the picture can be so much better. Some would complain it’s a VA panel and not IPS. Yes, there is slight washout when moving side to side, but really, at 3ft away, it’s pretty much negligible; and honestly, almost imperceptible. After a solid month of use I can say I don’t even notice it anymore unless I want to.Some of the other pros are that it supports 10bit color, and HDR to a limited extent. A con is that it’s limited to 60Hz refresh rate, but I’m not a huge competitive gamer, this was fine for me. Color-wise it is superb, very vivid and crisp once you dial the settings in.—=== SOME HINTS ABOUT USING THIS WITH A PC ===—You need to set it up to use the full bandwidth of your HDMI connection. **Make sure you are using HDMI rated cables for at least 4k@60Hz.** Nothing less will work. You will need to buy one, there isn’t one included in the box!You will need to enable Game Mode, as well as Input Signal Plus. To do so, follow these steps:1) On the remote, press the Home button2) Highlight “Settings”, and then select it (don’t press up)3) On the menu that appears go to “General”4) Navigate to “External Device Manager”5) From there, Navigate to “Game Mode” and turn it on6) Then, navigate down, and select “Input Signal Plus”7) On the new screen, enable it for whatever input you plugged your PC into. There you go. Adjust your regular screen settings to taste under Picture settings > Expert settings. I have mine set like so, but this may be too bright for you:Backlight 48Brightness 0Contrast 50Sharpness 10You might want to change color tone to taste as well. I have mine set to “Standard”.In Windows you can set your display scaling to 125%, which seems to be a good compromise. If I had younger eyes I’d set to 100%. YMMV.For anything else, apps and TV, keep in mind they have separate display profiles! So you can set different color profiles, motion compensation, brightness, etc depending on your use.Netflix, HBOMAX, Google Play, and Amazon Prime work flawlessly. Google Play and Netflix had the best picture quality wise in my estimation. I have yet to try with Disney+. Amazon Prime is no better in navigation, its a hot mess.I have yet to see an Ad that isn’t a tiny box next to the settings. I simply never agreed to any of the Privacy terms offered. Seems simple enough. Functionality wasn’t hampered, and who really wants to talk to their TV (looking at you Bixby)?I have this attached to Ethernet, so I can’t comment on Wifi performance. For what it’s worth, I picked this up when it went on sale at $$377.00 after tax. Otherwise I probably would have passed for an actual PC monitor.

In my PC gaming room I have 2 PC’s and also had a 32″ Samsung 1080 TV that was just over 10 years old. It recently developed a 1/3 screen dark bar at the top, that I had to tap on the screen every time I turned it on in order to fix it, so looked into replacing it with a newer TV. I have a 4k 32″ gaming monitor for one of the PC’s and so I was debating if I should get another 1080 HD TV or upgrade to a 4K.I really like the other three 4k TV’s I have in the house so I was leaning that way. I don’t have room for anything larger than a 32″ so and after looking into it I could only find two 32″ TV’s that were 4k. One was this Q50 Samsung model the other was a Samsung “picture frame” type for $100 more.Well after buying it I am so very glad I did, even though it was quite a bit more money than a 32″ 1080P model. The difference between 4K and 1080 when sitting about 2 to 3 feet from the TV is amazing. (When using a true 4k source. I have not paid attention yet as to how well it upscales.) It is an edge lit LED TV so no dimming zones but black levels seem pretty good for an edge lit TV. It is a QLED so the color pops pretty well but it seems to be a bit weak on contrast and brightness but that is just my first impression. The screen seems to be bit reflective so glare from lights in the room may be a issue to some. Some people comment that they hate the remote that comes with this TV. I disagree completely. This is the exact same remote I have on two three other Samsung TVs. When you compare this remote to the traditional remote you first notice how small it is and how few buttons it has and that is great part of it. When I look an old style remote now with its several dozen buttons I just shake my head. Trying to operate a remote with a large number buttons for the most part requires you to look at the remote and for seldom used functions, hunt around for where the button is. With this Samsung remote, and its very few controls, combined with the Samsung interface on the screen, I can control everything on the TV without even looking once at the remote. It takes couple hours to get used to it at first but once you do, you will not want return to a many button remote.Overall I am very happy with this TV. If you are thinking of buying a 32″ TV and want 4k, this is pretty much it but if you have room for a 43″ you will have a lot more options to choose from.

First things first – “Game mode”? Turn this off regardless of what you connect it to, this mode does little except hurt picture quality.Connecting it to a PC and it’s dark and mouse cursor is lagging? Set Picture mode to “Dynamic” for brightness (I then lower the Backlight to 45 under Expert settings) and set your Intel/AMD/Nvidia control panel to @60 FPS. That’s it. No “Game mode”, no fancy settings, as the great Todd once said: It just works.Connecting it to a console? A bit trickier, as this is really a matter of personal taste. Under Expert settings I turn off Digital Clean View, set Auto Motion Plus’ Jitter settings to 2 or 3 for old-gen 30 FPS games (anything more causes icons to Jitter and dance around), increase Color to maximum to get that simulated “OLED” feeling, and enable Contrast Enhancer. Looks beautiful and sharp, in my humble opinion. All in all, a great personal TV set for up to 60 FPS gaming, probably the best (and only, unfortunately) relatively affordable 4K monitor in the 32″ niche. For movies and series, though? I’m not sure I would recommend it. It’s way too small, and I doubt you’ll notice any special detail. Maybe as a bedroom set, but then I would recommend just getting yourself a cheaper non-QLED screen.Oh, and to the top review complaining about the voice-activated initial setup? Yeah, no hard feelings, but it’s really a non-issue. You set this once to be able to share/control the screen using your phone, or simply skip the whole thing altogether and forget it’s ever there. The monitor does NOT talk to you after that initial setup process. Talk about blowing stuff out of proportions 😉

I needed to replace a 28” TV that failed after just 2 years. It was a cheap TCL and yes you do get what you pay for. I was a bit reluctant to spend $400 on a 32” 4K but I have trusted Samsung for many years and I wanted to see how the Q series Samsung compared with my new Sony XBR X950H. I am not disappointed. The picture/video display is every bit as good as my Sony XBR and using just the built-in speakers, the sound quality is pretty good on both. I do recommend connecting to your Home Theater setup or a Sound Bar for really good audio presentation.Setup was really easy as one would expect these days and took less than 5 minutes before I was watching Broadcast TV.This Samsung has a built in TV Guide which has an unexpected bonus of Samsung TV Plus that provides over 100 channels that I have been watching and the resolution is great. Access the channel guide by pressing the CH button down and view all OTA channels plus the Samsung channels. Very simple and easy to access.

This 32″ Smart QLED 4K Flat HDTV manufactured by Samsung is standout excellence! Picture, sound, craftsmanship, features and look make this set a great pick for consumers seeking the complete package in a 32″ screen television.I worked hard to find the best television in the 32″ range and in picking out this one my diligence paid-off. The price, mind you may be double what most 32″ HDTVs cost but it proves worth the extra investment—it certainly gives you the bang-for-your-buck! I’m so glad to own it and would not add or take anything away if given the choice. I recommend this TV,especially to those wanting the most quality for their cash!

This TV was everything I hoped for.At $354.92 for a brand new unit, it felt like a steal. However, as soon as I purchased, the price immediately increased to $447.99, so it must have been the last one at the lower price?HDR works well on PC (Windows 10, RTX 2080 Super), PS5, and Xbox One X. Make sure to enable HDMI Deep Color (HDR) under General->External Device Manager->Input Signal Plus. Otherwise, not even 2160p without HDR will work on PS5, only 1080p.Samsung has every major app you could think of, including HBO Max and Disney+. By comparison, LG doesn’t have an HBO Max app. Last time I checked, the Amazon Fire Stick doesn’t have it either.4k blurays look great.Pros:Paid $354.92 (normally $447.99)HDR 10 support3x HDMI 2.0 portsFully compatible with PS5 (4K HDR @ 60hz)120hz motion enhancement (artificial frame doubling, not real 120hz, but looks good)Samsung app availabilityResponsive and snappy TV OSCons:A dedicated source selection (HDMI 1,2,3) button would have been nice.9ms latency in game mode. By comparison, my 55″ LG OLED has 6ms.Brightness significantly lower with HDR, but that was expected. Not 120hz, but that was expected.Doesn’t support Dolby Vision, but that was expected. Not aware of any Samsung displays that do.Barely any content supports HDR10+.

Replaced a 10 year old Sony in our bedroom with this and we love it. Hooks right up to everything. Chromecast, our entertainment center hdmi feed, our wireless network and all of the internet subscriptions we have. Was able to link both the TV’s control er and the entertainment center’s Xfinity controller as well as the little portable keyboard that I use with my pad! And of course it works with Panasonic TV and integrated immediately with both my Galaxy note phone and tablet! Stunning picture quality although I did add a soundbar to it to get better sound quality. Wife says it wasn’t necessary but I like it.Only criticism I would offer is that it takes too many clicks on the controller to get to the sleep timer. That should be one click away so you can quickly set it as you tuck into bed.No rating on gaming… we don’t play computer games!

A very good Television.

This was a good choice. The 4k video colors are bright and vibrant. I put this up in the basement near the exercise area. The 32 inch screen size is perfect. Neither too small nor large for the viewing area in the basement. I mounted it on a swivel stud mount so the TV can be rotated to the viewing angle from the exercise bike or the weight machine. The remote control was hard to get used to and not very intuitive. I finally figured it out. It doesn’t matter to me since I am controlling everything with the Apple TV 4k remote. The TV had probably every popular streaming app that one subscribes to. May not need to add a streaming box.The speakers are OK – Loud and Clear for my area.Overall, a good buy with $100 off during Amazon Prime day deal.
