I bought an Aqara lock initially because it was cheaper and had many more features. It kept crashing and freezing up, so that I had to keep the physical key with me all the time, or I’d be locked out of my house. I returned it and got this Schlage instead. The Schlage is more expensive, but it just works. Every. Single. Time. Installed it in the door in under 5 minutes and set it up in the Schlage app and HomeKit in under 5 minutes. It’s easy to use and add codes for people even if they don’t have an iPhone or smart device. And it looks much more solid and stylish than the Aqara. 6 out 5 stars.

Had the zigbee version prior to this. Antique Bronze finish looked poorly after about 6 years, (SC close to the coast). The locks are reliable and work well. Installation is simple (I’m handy as heck), and the app is nice. Intgrates well with Apple and my RTI control system.Only beef is that it is dark. You will need to fumble around with it at night so you can see the numbers. One button press and it will wake up. Might not seem like a big deal, but if you happen to hit a number, the next button pressed will be in vain because it doesn’t require “Schlage” or “Home” press prior to entering the code. Battery life might be suspect as it has been isntalled for about 3 weeks, and battery life is at 80%. I do have automatic lock after 5 minutes on though…Good deal, I am happy.BA approved-BT

Used it for the past couple of months and I’m Loving it! Installation was very easy. Assigned multiple entrance codes to guests, workers, etc. Some permanently and others for a few hours or with a fixed schedule. It’s been very reliable and currently at 88% battery after 2 months of use. Works amazing with my Apple Watch and iPhone. Even when battery is drained from my phone, express mode lets me use it like a Hotel Keycard. Regular Wifi, Homepod (original) as Homekit Homehub.

Works exactly as intended and serves my needs exactly. I realize it’s on the pricier side but this has worked perfectly for several months now. I also think it looks pretty good and the color compliments matte black hardware pretty well.Initial set up was easy and programming codes for other users was a breeze in the app. The remote lock/unlock has been great while traveling to let family into the house.

This is an awesome addition to any home. It is super easy to install very well made, super quite, and very responsive my only complaint is that in the dark the keys are hard to see even with the backlight but it’s manageable. My entire family uses their Apple Watch or phone to open the door 90% of the time.

I replaced three Schlage Touchscreens with three of these Schlage Encode Pluses. As expected the install was easy and they work great. Tip: When pairing with Apple Home make sure you use the Schlage Home App and use the Works With option for a quick seamless setup. I am very happy with these locks.

For anyone that hates wasting time, money, energy and getting frustrated & disappointed with crappy locks, just buy this one & enjoy your life. It’s not the cheapest out there for a good reason. This thing is flawless inside and out. Reliable, consistent & no bugs or quirks. It may not have all the bells & whistles others have but it’s of no good to have them & not have them work as intended.

The design of the lock made it pretty easy to install. Like that you can see the numbers on the pad. App works great so far. Easy to create, change, and delete access codes. Previously purchased the Yale Assure 2 and ended up returning because the deadbolt would not throw. The Schlage is superior to Yale in quality and design. Worth the money paid.

I’ve had this for a few months and I love it! Super easy set up with great written directions. My family suggested it and I don’t know how I’ve lived without it for so long.I set this up with my iPhone and Apple Watch, so whenever I tap my device (like Apple paying) it unlocks the door. I also set it up to work with my home pod to work with voice command. You can also set up personalized passcodes for visitor like handymen and dog walkers. Haven’t had a problem with battery length, but it’s super easy to switch them out when it’s time.

Fully integrate with either the Schlage app or Ring/Alexa (or both at the same time). Apple HomeKit is a bit of a dance with limited success. Schlage (or Apple) needs to work on this. If you really want a simple Apple HomeKit installation, maybe find another lock. If that isn’t something that you care about, this is a terrific lock.
