I bought the hub with 4 sensors. Setup was pretty straight forward. Hub integrated easily onto my Wifi network and Alexa environment. I have one sensor in my pump house with an alarm when the temperature drops near freezing. A second is inside a freezer watching for temperatures above 10 degrees. This sensor does not update very often, I think the Bluetooth signal has a hard time getting out. However all I need to do is open it and I have the history of it’s performance. The third sensor is inside my small wood drying kiln I use for bowl blank. Here the humidity sensor is very useful. The 4th is inside my workshop so I know what issues I will face with glues and finishes. There are issues with the speed of the updates, probably caused by the distance from the hub, but the data is updated eventually. However the fact that each sensor records readings about every 2 seconds and stores those results helps remediate the slow updates. The data is there. Like I said it fulfills my needs. The app is well designed, robust, and provides a good set of tools to review this recorded data. All in all I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t need instantaneous temperature reading and alarms.

Great little hub and thermometer, even looks good in my living room. Easy to set up and use. App works well.

Few things you should know1. Easy to set up, room 15-20 minutes2. You can adjust the display to show the temp or not. I like the minimalist look.3. Buttons can be programmed! Such a timesaver.4. Cheaper than other similar devices5. Helpful to control all IR controlled devices by your phone or Alexa6. Check if your remotes are IR. Seems basic but it’s worth mentioning.7. Setting up routines saves time, effort and mental energy8. Love having to not look for the remote9. Can be wall mounted or on a table. I prefer to keep it on the table until I know it’s all set.10. The app has many options for devices that work with it

I have mini splits installed in my house after moving into it. I have always had central air and took for granted the ability to have a programmable thermostat that was easy to install. After seeing a review of this on YouTube, I did a little research and it looked like this would solve my problems.Received unit, installed and setup. I liked it so much I picked up the mini hub for in my bedroom. My current setup is this hub in my living room and it displays the inside temp and looks like a modern thermostat would. The mini has no display and is in the master bedroom. I also have the temp/humidity sensors all through the house and one on the porch.I love that I can see in real time the temp/humidity outside and in every room of my house. I also have set up several scripts to turn on/off and adjust the temps in my living room and master bedroom. At some point I will see about Alexa integration for voice control.Awesome step off point for home automation and having info and control right on your phone.

One of the most useful tools in my house , from controlling All the SwitchBot products to all other IR appliances I have in my house .And it can be set up, so it shows you the temperature from outside through your indoor outdoor IP65 thermometer

Bought this to upgrade from the Switchbot Hub Mini so that my Switchbot curtains could be controlled directly through the Apple Home App and Siri. With the previous Hub Mini, you had to set up all sorts of shortcut routines in the iPhone shortcut app to be able to control the switchbot curtains with Siri, and these shortcuts generally worked, but like 75% of time (meaning you would occasionally have to ask 2-3 times for the curtains to open before they actually would).Since the Hub 2 is Matter Compatible, they now pass through the SwitchBot Curtains directly to the Apple Home App, meaning the curtains can be controlled directly through the Home App and/or with Siri. Giving Siri a command to open/close the curtains now works 100% of the time, and the response time is dramatically faster than the older (and inferior) Shortcut app method that was needed with the Hub Mini. This makes using the curtains, incorporating them into your HomeKit routines, and setting timers so much easier as it can all be done through the HomeKit app once you set everything up. The Switchbot App is still required for the set up of the hub and then passing the curtains through to the HomeKit app.Only thing I found a little strange is that the Hub 2 ships with Celsius being its default temperature read out, which is great for most of the world but not us in the US. To fix, open the switchbot app -> click on the “Profile” button in the bottom right -> Click on Preferences -> Click on Temperature Unit -> Select F

Love having this, I use it to make my curtains matter compatible to work with my google home.

I bought this because I wanted to display an outdoor Switchbot thermometer and it worked perfectly for that. What really made this great was the built in IR remote control feature. I was able to pair this with my tv and essentially program my remote directly into the app. A combination of remote button presses can also be combined in the app to make switching between TV sources automated. There are even widgets that allow you to setup these automations as a button on your phone home screen. Everything has been working flawlessly for the past 2 months. If you are looking for a smart temperature display by itself or pairing it with another switchbot device this thing really works great!
