One month in. So far so good. Easy to install. Love the capability to add/remove codes remotely and view lock status. No issues so far

Installed three of these locks, on front and back door and an outbuilding. Didn’t need the most advanced features, just wanted an easy to use smart lock to do away with keys.They were easy to install and set up – and it’s easy to create temporary codes for special purposes, such as access for a worker. The locks have worked without problem for a year, but recently one lock started beeping. I called the customer service number and was immediately connected to a real person – so nice to avoid those pesky phone tree menus. Mr. Real Person (Omar), patiently talked me through troubleshooting steps. When those failed, he initiated sending me a replacement of the lock. This is the kind of quick and effective customer service that stands out. I hadn’t heard of this company before I instlled the locks, but I now highly recommend them.If, like me, you want a simple smart lock without advanced features like fingerprint and Apple watch recognition, here’s your answer. Lock and unlock doors automatically, or right from your phone wherever you are. Simple and secure, backed by great customer service.

I had never used these locks before but needed something for a second home that we rent on occasion. Installation was easy and locks work well. Did have an issue with one of the locks and customer support was responsive with how to diagnosis and resolve the issue, which ended up with a replacement indoor component. I purchased 3 locks and ended up only using 2 so my son is now using one at his primary home and loves the convenience. Will likely add these to our primary home in the near future as an upgrade to an existing coded keypad lock. Definitely recommend the locks.

This unit I’m reviewing doesn’t have a fingerprint readerWorked great for about a year. The lights on the outside buttons stopped working, reset it multiple times, fixed it for a few days and permanently stopped working.Pros: The app and wifi/bluetooth functions work great, can add temp or permeant users while not at home while using the app and wifi functions.Cons: Battery LVLs show HIGH, electronic lock feature randomly stops working, sometimes I have to manually use the physical key to open the door, remove the battery cover, and remove a battery to restart the unit for electronic functions to work. I’ve only used new Alkaline AA batteries.Update: 1/25/24Customer service noticed the review and did everything in the power to correct the issue. They sent me a replacement lock and the replacement lock seem to be the same lock but improved performance. The replacement no longer randomly resets etcAwesome customer service.

After about a year our lock suddenly stopped working. I was bummed, so I contacted U-Tec’s customer service via email on their website and they sent a replacement within days of our conversation. The entire process was quick and simple, and our new lock is working great!

Well-made and the app is user friendly. Good features like auto-lock, etc. I like that the app sends you a notification when the lock is jammed or there is a low battery. My only gripe is that the batteries don’t seem to last very long. But overall a fantastic purchase, I’m very glad I got them

These are great locks. They have good battery life and I have had them working over several years. In one case, a contractor had damaged the cable and required a replacement component. It was out of warranty, but the company replaced it at no cost.I like the stylishness in that it is a circular keypad.I keep the backup key in a lockbox in the back of the house.One feature I would like to see is some sort of notification when the battery is getting low.

This lock was simple to install and set up (had a problem with the bridge but contacted customer support and got it quickly replaced, so that was good to see). Set up different pins for family members, INTEGRATES TO THE GOOGLE HOME APP (this was something crucial I was looking for and glad I can control it from there or through the Google Assistant), bridge allows me to monitor or lock/unlock when I’m not at home. The only finicky part is when it comes to the auto-unlock which can be hit or miss when it works it feels like magic, but I think the issue is that there needs to be a persistent notification on your phone in order to activate auto-unlock when you get home which can accidentally be dismissed and am not sure on how to re-activate for when I want the auto-unlock feature to work. But other than that, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
