this mug is just awesome. it is also practical too. has a clear and easy to read display. not overly complicated to use. works as advertised. had hot coffee at 150, put heavy cream which reduced temp to around 100-110 degrees. cup instantly began raising the temp back to temp of 150. was able to actually watch temp increase and steam rise from cup again.

I am a continual coffee drinker. I will admit it takes me a long time to finish my coffee and it has gotten to where I don’t mind drinking cold coffee but I wanted to try something to keep my coffee warm while I was at work that wasn’t a flask or tumbler of some type. Oh my goodness this thing is just a dream. I was weary wondering how long the battery would actually last and I was so shocked to see that I was keeping my coffee warm throughout the morning and this hadn’t put more than 1/4 of battery loss. Then I decided to have another coffee in the afternoon (Yes, I know, I have a problem) and an happy to report that using this to warm my coffee to around 120 degrees, I only lost half the battery in a day.The coffee mug itself got compliments throughout the day. People said they really liked the little coffee mug and that it looked nice and sleek. I also appreciated that when I was done with my coffee, the cup somehow knew when to turn off. It didn’t simply stay on warming up air, and that was an added touch that I felt was super nice!Moving on to the wireless charger, I can report the charger works great. I used it to charge my phone over the night and I had zero issues. Sometimes some wireless chargers don’t do well with my phone and the cases, but this handled my relatively thick case without issue which is a lot more than I can say for other wireless chargers.Charging of the mug did take a little longer than I expected, so I plan to use this throughout the day and then when I get home I can charge the mug. I plan that because we don’t really have our own space at work and plugging this in in different locations just doesn’t make sense to me, so if you have your own desk, you won’t have this problem.One of my coworkers mentioned she was thinking of getting one of these for her husband and I think this is a perfect gift for a coffee drinker than needs to keep their drink warm throughout the day.So, yes I do recommend and if I have issues I’ll be happy to update my review but for now, this little guy is incredible!

There are many other options out there from name brand Ember to mug warming plates, but what attracted me to this mug was that it had a wireless charging spot attached to the mug base.The mug can be controlled in two ways, either with a free app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store or with controls on the mug itself. Once the app is downloaded, connecting the mug was a quick two step process and connected very quickly. To use the controls on the mug, it has a physical button on the front, as well as capacitive touch buttons on the right and left of the physical button. If you press the physical button, it will cycle through three options: Current temp, Change temp (with a left and a right arrow on each side), and the current battery level.The mug is charged by setting it onto the charging base. There are two metal prongs that stick up on the charging coaster that line up with two copper rings on the bottom of the mug. Charging took between 1-2 hours from out of box. There is a little charging indicator on the mug itself that gradually gets fuller and fuller the longer it charges until the battery icon shows full.Using the mug is as easy as pouring already hot liquids into the mug (this mug is not designed to heat liquids from cold), and change the desired temperature on either the mug or in the app. The temperature on the mug will fluctuate very slightly showing you when its heating is on and off. The temperature was very accurate and only fluctuated give or take 3 degrees. When the mug is empty, it will automatically shut off. One feature I wish this mug had that other mugs like the Ember has, is auto sense when liquid is added and automatically turn it on to the last set temp.The app also had a connection issue. When I left the app for the day and came back the next morning, I tried to connect to the mug in the app, and it kept connecting and disconnecting over and over again. The only way to fix it was to force quit the app and reopen in which case it worked as expected. That can be fixed with a software update I’m sure.The first time I used the mug was with a home made latte. It held the temp of 135 degrees very well but when I finished the drink, I noticed some burnt milk remnants on the bottom. It was easy to clean but it shows that the bottom is quite hot against milk. When I used the mug for black coffee, it was perfect.Also included if desired is a lid. The battery will last about 30-45 minutes but with the lid, can last a couple hours. If the mug is left on the coaster while drinking, the battery will last indefinitely.And of course last but not least, the wireless charging pad on the side. The pad is plenty large enough to charge my iPhone 15 Pro or headphones with wireless charging capabilities. You can tell your device is charging by an LED light on the front of the charging base. It changes from a light blue/white color to a brighter and darker blue color when charging.Overall I am very happy with my VFZO smart mug. I love that it can be controlled by both an app and on the mug itself. I have owned the Ember in the past and got rid of it because it would never connect to the app. There are several great colors to choose from so you can buy which ever one represents you. I highly recommend the VFZO mug for anyone who is willing to spend on a smart mug but don’t want to pay the high prices of the Ember.
