Easy to install and easy to use, love the ease of use with and without WiFi module. Also looks very nice in the satin nickel and nicely built not cheap feeling. Features are great to share with kids and others, the auto lock and Auto Unlock features are awesome works flawlessly! Definitely would recommend adding the flush sensor included for precise feature use like door left open/door was shut notifications and the door won’t auto lock till it’s shut which prevents damage to the door frame and more importantly the deadbolt in case of accidentally trying to shut it while deadbolt lock engaged.

I had an August lock for about 6 years, and it finally died (common issue with accelerometer ribbon cable snapping). Needed an upgrade and found this one. Man what an upgrade! The fingerprint sensor is a game changer. It works flawlessly so far, and being able to lock the door with just a touch without keys makes it truly keyless.I find auto-unlock is a tiny bit more responsive than the August lock but still not 100%. You still have to be within around 15 ft of the lock when it’s trying or it’ll fail.Having HomeKit is great I can also just as Siri to unlock the door if I have no hands free. The passcode on the screen is great for relatives or visitors that I don’t want to open my door all the time.Love all the options, the only one missing is Apple Keys which would round this out to be the ultimate lock, but it’s not necessary with all the other options available.I was able to swap in the cylinder of my old deadbolt into the lock (Weiser) and it fits ok. Not perfect but it works if in a pinch there’s an outage or the lock isn’t behaving, I still have a good old key. Also for any August coverts, yes this model still works with the old August connect wifi bridge that plugs into a wall socket, so save a few bucks and just get the base unit that has Bluetooth only and use your old bridge! Bonus the old plug in means the batteries last longer in the lock.So far loving this lock!

I got two of these for the front door and door to the garage. Ordered matching lock cylinders direct from Yale as it was cheaper and super easy to put them in. One screw. Also note these use the same key type as Kwikset locks. I got one of those for the back door and used the Kwikset re-key feature to get it to use the same key as the deadbolts. Doorknob install was far harder due to difficulty aligning all the parts and getting the screws in.Bluetooth connection works fine, took a while to connect on the metal door. Fingerprint a bit iffy on one door, but could be due to cold hands after a long walk in the cold, and code entry works well as a backup before digging out a key.

I have Apple HomeKit house. No need for WiFi as the Bluetooth in this lock connects with all Apple speakers and the network. Apple HomePods have Bluetooth but only for meshing devices. Lock is great but I did not install the door sensor as I have one already.

Well I can say its finally about time, but you know what the time is here the time is now. August, Yale Assay Ambloy Sister of companies, has finally kept me for life, August Locks have always worked great for me over the years. All models I havent had issues with, and good battery life, Switched to the Wifi 4th Gen module when it came out because it was alot smaller , sleek and looked good however wasnt a fan of the cr123 batteries as they was battery hogs.I understand why they did it, because the overall footprint was smaller so the batteries had to be smaller.I was looking for something else… I didnt have good luck with other Smart Locks on the market, including those with Fingerprint sensors… Thats really what I always wanted the ease of use… Basically theres nothing better than Auto Unlock, which means you dont have to do anything no extra steps… when it works… Mines was 85% of the time which is great. Other times it was phone issues to where I had to restart my phone and reconnect the Bluetooth.Other Smart Locks with Fingerprints was decent or either good IMO but however had a terrible app experience. So in my book its 2023, there is no excuse.August has always had a high rating in the google play store…Now August/Yale has finally came up with the same great Yale Assure lock 2, but now finally with a fingerprint sensor where the Yale logo is,, it works flawlessly 🔥🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🙌🙌 everyone loves it, its very intuitive within the app to add more fingerprints going from 1 all the way until its finished and the app tells you instantly to hit continue and its finished. All the same great features as all the other August/Yale Locks, with AA Batteries , Auto Unlock, Auto Lock, Keypad, Voice or Fingerprint or Watch…Great Job, Well Done,,, 👍🏽👍🏽😍😍😍10/10/2023 UpdateStill using the locks and I have to say I have had no issues with still. Seems like the lock is learning the accuracy of the fingerprint reader and one attempt now to unlock the door works,, everyones finger in the house is reading faster now than when initially set up. Thanks Yale

I have had a wifi Kwikset lock for a while that I have been wanting to replace. I came across this one at an airbnb and wanted to give it a try. though I only bought the Bluetooth version, it connects to apple home and I can use the Home app on my iPhone to monitor, and open and close remotely. This does not show me the door sensor which id like to see an update but for now this will work until I decided if I want to buy the wifi module. It looks great, it’s fairly quiet and is super quick at scanning the finger print. having the keypad option is great as well to setup access on the fly without having to record their fingerprint. Highly recommend !

I bought this to upgrade my existing Yale Smart door lock to the new Assure 2 lock with finger print and WiFi capability however to my disappointment, this doesn’t fit in the same bore hole. Why did Yale have to change the fitment dimensions!? Or not create a version that would be a seamless swap. I don’t want to mess with my bore hole and risk damaging the door and am not going to be able to upgrade anymoreUpdate: changing rating to 5 stars. The issue was on my side. The deadbolt configuration can be changed. Once I did that everything else was super easy.

If a z-wave module was also available so it could be added to home security system like Ring.. would have been awesome. Lock is built sturdy..like schlage or kwikset locks, and features, app are seamless to use.

Took her dad an hour and a half to get installed. He is a carpenter. Does work great!

Got the fingerprint reader version. I thought about getting the HomeKeys version but the fingerprint version eliminates the need to use your iPhone, which you could misplace. iOS users do not need the WiFi option as you can still unlock/lock when away from home using the iOS home app. You only need the WiFi option if you want to use the Yale Access app (to create new access codes for example) when not on your home network.Battery life on Bluetooth only version is great. In one month of regular use, the battery only drained 3%.The door sensor isn’t integrated into the lock and needs to be installed separately by drilling it inside the door frame or screwing it just outside of it. They should have just integrated a sensor into the lock and strike plate and I would have paid more for a cleaner/simpler setup. I decided not to install the chunky sensor. There was a weird issue when initially setting up fingerprints, might be related to the fact that my iPhone battery was low. I suspect it caused some Bluetooth connection issue. After charging it and trying again it worked fine. This is the best looking smart lock out there. And haven’t had any issues with reading fingerprints.
